Calibre View is a local library browser for Calibre ebook collections. The app is designed to minimize data access, avoid unnecessary data processing, and give you full control over the files you choose to use.
Calibre View does not collect personal information, track usage, or gather analytics.
When you choose to open a Calibre library, the app may access:
This access is strictly read-only, limited to the folders you explicitly choose, and used solely to display your library and allow downloads of selected books.
Calibre View can connect to cloud storage providers, including Google Drive and Dropbox.
When connected, Calibre View:
When using Google Drive, Calibre View complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. No Google user data is transferred to external servers or used for advertising, analytics, or profiling.
Downloaded books, cover images, and temporary database files are stored only on your device. Temporary files may be automatically removed by your system.
Calibre View does not sync, upload, or back up your data to any external service.
Calibre View:
Access to cloud storage providers is governed by each provider’s own privacy policy.
You may delete downloaded content or disconnect cloud accounts at any time through your device settings or the cloud provider's interface.
Because Calibre View does not collect or store personal data on external servers, there is no stored user profile to delete.
Calibre View uses the authentication and security mechanisms provided by cloud services. The app does not store your cloud credentials.
