Calibre View is a local, user-driven app for browsing your Calibre ebook library. These terms explain how the app works and what you agree to when you use it.
By downloading or using Calibre View (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Calibre View lets you browse and manage metadata from your personal Calibre ebook libraries stored in cloud services (such as Dropbox, Google Drive, and other supported providers) or local files on your device.
The App reads and displays library metadata (for example, title, author, tags, series, and formats). It does not run a server for your library, and it does not publish your library anywhere.
You own and control your library files. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store, view, and access any ebooks and metadata you use with the App.
If you connect Calibre View to third-party services (including Dropbox, Google Drive, or other supported providers), those services are governed by their own terms and policies.
Once a library database is downloaded to your device, you can browse it offline. Some features (like downloading covers or book files) require internet access and will not work offline.
Calibre View may offer an optional tip or donation feature. Tips are voluntary, do not unlock extra functionality, and are not required to use the App.
Payments (if offered) are processed through Apple’s App Store. Tips are non-refundable.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no guarantees that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all devices, libraries, or cloud providers.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Calibre View and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
